My dearest Fujitsu notebook needs a mother board replacement.
The cost is $609 and not inclusive of G S T. With G S T, the cost will be $651.63.
It will take 2 to 3 weeks' time for the mother board to arrive and by then school term has already started!
I thought of getting it repair since it's the only laptop that is compatible with my school's system.
However my dad decides to check around first...
sigh..
another alternative is to get a new laptop? but I need to get it configure before it is ready for usage.
it can be quite troublesome.

Well, to repair or not repair?
Someone answer this please.

Today's Wednesday, I met up with Liwen at Bugis for shopping.
It was fun. Hmm... tons of vintage style design are seen where ever I walk at Bugis Village, from clothes to shoes, bags and accessories.
Same kind of fashion trend applies at Far East Plaza too.
I bought a floral tube top, it can be a dress too since it's quite long. I also bought 3 pairs of earrings for $5. HeHe. It's really unique and easy to match with my clothes in the wardrobe.
A new list of items in my wish list... Uh Uh.
Looking forward to next Wednesday and the final 5 days of Sept.
In the final 5 days of Sept, get to be involved in F1 and then chalet with class E35C. The class that I belong to for the past 6 months...
Pretty short in fact as it's only 6 months and we are to part just like that.

This month is a disaster. 20 days left to end of September. It's a holiday period.
Started off with $450, after paying back mum $110 which is a loan from previous month.
I had $340 left for the month. I paid back my friend $20 which is a loan from previous month too.
Hence, $320.
This month's expenses is a little big.
2 best friends' birthday fall on this month.
Things taking place at the end month:
A class chalet
F1 event
I need money to pay for the chalet..
I need money least to ensure I can survive well after the event.
Other things spent are on necessities, food, transport, accessories such as earrings.
Although I bought 3 dresses recently but are at real cheap prices, 2 pieces at $10 each and 3rd piece at $8. All 3 are bought from pasar malam. Not shopping centre.
Today I bought a belt for only $5 at bugis street. I need an eyeliner since I don't have one and ran out of it, it's silky girl and the price is like $7.10. considered the cheapest compared to other brands.

so "dead meat"...

sentosa!

It's been ages since the last time I visited Sentosa. I went along with vincent and sakinah since they kept asking me to go. It was fun at Sentosa. The sun, the sea and the sand. With these 3 elements, makes up a wonderful beach. :)
took the sentosa bus to get into sentosa, duh. haha. Thanks to the trip on sentosa bus, now I know where St James Power Station is at. I always know it's located near vivo city but it appears hidden away to me. Haha
hmmm. someone has already updated about the trip at sentosa.
i think that is all i can think about.

outing no. 1

3..2..... 1! Time's up! End of communication UT 3. That marks the end of UT3 period.
Everyone cheers! :D The moment that everyone has been waiting for.
To spend the day, I went out with XiaoSen, Zoa, Cherie and Liping. Khailisah joined us for a while and went home then.
We had lunch at pasta mania. :) After which we went to the open space at bugis junction where the pushcarts are. We tried to look for the shop that sells mickey mouse merchandise but to realised that it's not around now.
Next stop, we headed to bugis street. Walking around to window shop to look for the things that Xiaosen wants to buy and eventually we came across an attractive shop in a corner, named room 707 that sells vintage merchandise. I like the vest which I spotted it at first sight but it cost $33. It's really good. I think I will buy it the next time I come. I bought a belt instead, it's really nice and moreover it's the last piece.wow. Xiaosen bought a pair of white shoes, it's really cool and unique. :)
then. we went upstairs. I bought a purple top, it's nice. $15. haha!
hmm.. we left bugis street and headed towards illuma shopping mall.
since there's nothing much...after walking around.. we went to this fashion for a while and left shortly.
Although I have only bought 2 items but I had wanted to buy a tote bag from Bershka but fortunately they reminded me to stop buying as they know I have been shopping lately.

Just in a blink of eye, 6 months is gone, approximately 180 days spent with E35C. :)
Going through presentations everyday for each module with fellow classmates. Getting team up with different classmates when there is a change of team. Different people have different working styles but there is one common traits and that is every one of them are my classmate. :)
Some are unforgettable, perhaps it's the joy and laugher that they contributed. People of E35C, I believe you know who they are.
The first outing was a bbq held during the 14 days of vacations at pasir ris park. (if i remember clearly enough), i had a good time.
Next coming outing is a chalet + bbq, I am so looking forward to it. hahaha
I am glad to be part of E35c. A class that brings me fun-filled memories, I will never forget. :)

Spree Day

Today is Saturday. I had lunch with Big Sister at Din Tai Feng in Paragon. There were about 20 queues away from ours. Fortunately, we didn't wait too long as the queue number kept going forward more than going backwards. :)
After lunch, went to Candele, a dessert cafe. I ordered crepe which I thought it will be a light one but it turns out to be quite filling.. I couldn't really finish it. Hence, I only ate the ice cream and about a third of the crepe. The remaining I had my sister to help me. :)

Then, I walked with her to orchard station and from then we parted. I felt a need to walk around more and decided to shop at ion. Dear Big Sister gave me some money for shopping. :)
As I walked, I saw Bershka and thus decided to walk in and see.

Not bad though, selling from clothes to shoes, accessories and bags that are imported from Spain.
I picked a razor back top that has pink panther print on it and a floral tube dress to try on, after trying it seems like it didn't suit. I continued to hunt for other choices. I picked a checkered red dress and a basic tank top to go with it as seen from the model's outfit design. I picked a razor back floral dress too. After trying both, seems to me that the checkered red dress with the tank top suits me better. I made my payment at the counter, spent about $71.90.

I walked around again at ion and stopped by at Uniqlo.
It's a nice shop. One thing that I didn't like very much, there were many people. I -.- wanted to buy the blue tee-shirt but the sizes left there were L. I saw a nice top from the model's outfit in the shop's advert but I don't think it's available. Next time I think I will pop by at Uniqlo again when there's less people.
I went to bodyshop and I wanted to buy some cosmetics but I think I will come by again when I have more money. I bought a lipbalm as my lips feels dry these days.

I took a train home from orchard and I went to Cotton On in hope to get the vest which I had wanted to buy when I first saw it.
I found it after looking around like twice, at least my efforts did not go to waste. :)

Well, what a shopping spree day for me.

Have not updated my blog at all for 4 months! That's pretty long... a big change has taken place during the 4 months. What a big leap from ITE to Poly in a year after I retook my maths. I've survived through the 1st semester at RP and it's coming to an end with UT3 test before holidays start. I do want to do well in this UT3 since it's a crucial one that will determine my grades before I progress to semester 2 and get allocated to a new class. :) During the holidays, I supposed it will be a fruitful one. I decide to sign up for Skip-Aerobic and will be involved in F1 event. How cool is that? Awesome!
It's so going be really fruitful! I hope. It’s going be really cool. I think it will be a good experience to be involved in F1 as it's a grand event in Singapore. It’s one of the major events in Singapore whereby lots of tourist and VIPs will be there to watch the race. I shall stop here and be busy with mugging for UT3. :D

Updates Updates..
I am starting to adapt to the environment and education system of Republic Poly. It's a good start for now. So far, my new classmates are pretty okay generally. There is something that I am irritated about but I shan't mention. It's really crap.
It's the 4th week since started lesson on 20 April 2009, especially in this week, I can see my grades starting to boom up compared to last week's. I am proud to say I have achieved 2 Aces, namely for Science and Cognitive Problem. 3 B respectively for Enterprise, Introduction to Comm and Mathematics. I have made improvement for Enterprise but sadly I was late for that day and got deduction of 0.5 but fortunately I have manage to upgrade myself from C to B again for Intro Comm. I am gonna aim for A this time.

I thought it through, staying at home makes me feel more emo and I think should find a way to cheer myself up. Since today is a public holiday, I might as well meet up with my former secondary school friend and accompany her to Sim Lim Tower for she needs to buy an equipment for her school project. At the same time, she'll also accompany me to window shop. We stepped into OG, a departmental store and walked towards the section space selling sports merchandise. I spotted some nice bottles and I chose Nike. It has nice design and not too pinkish. I decide to buy and made my payment for it. I thought of buying a new pair of heels but some were really nice but quite expensive. The thought of my mum ranting at me for buying new shoes, better not do so then.
Next stop was bugis street. I stopped by to browse on the CD but I do not see much variety and continue walking. We went to a clothes shop and I bought a brown coloured checkered dress after looking at various tops and dresses. Although I did not buy much stuff but at least I had shopped a little. It brings me comfort and joy. Right now, I am feeling better. I guess probably I need to express myself more often and stop being a hesistant. In this way, then I can show who I am exactly. Considered it as personal branding. Every person has their own signature style which makes an individual different from others.
Yeap. Isn't it?
I look forward to a better and fruitful week. I believe I can face it bravely and overcome.

This is so not me. Totally not me. However, I just do not know why I am actually feeling emo but I want to get out of it. I gladly know what I need is just time. I had always thought I have the capability of adapting well in any kind of environment but it wasn't.
Based on my ability in working on the module with my team mates and understanding it, so far it is alright but I have to get out of the "brain dead" situation which occurs to me rather badly on Wednesday.
My current working relationship status with various team members of my class, it's quite alright.
I do not wish to be. It's gonna be tough ahead if it does not change for the rest of my time spent at RP. The taste of experiencing such feeling is horrible. I sincerely hope I can overcome it as the time goes by and I have to find my real self.

Once again, I know this post is emo but I have to let it out.

A pity I have missed the chance to hang out with my classmates for they went to causeway point during break time for I had a meeting that's for all dcrsm students to attend. Freshman Orientation [SOH]

It was a long day indeed. I participated in a 12-hour duration camp for new students like me organized by the School of Hospitality. Overall it was enjoyable although I was tired at the end of the day. Starts at 8.30am and ends by 9pm.
All year one students are addressed as "freshies" but I do not think I am one. Most of the itinerary were planned by the seniors of RP, they are also known as Orientation Group Leaders. The lecturers are known as facilitators. Besides giving lectures during lesson, the facilitators also offer advice on assignments and students improvise it to the best.

The School of Hospitality is made up mainly of the following components : DHHM [Dip in Hotel & Hospitality], DIEM [Dip in Integrated Events Management] and DCRM [Dip in Customer Service and Relationship Management]

There's a cheer that everyone in RP has to know. it's quite cool and i have mastered the actions but not remembering the lines that well yet.

My team mates are rather cooperative when it comes to teamwork. It's a good sign. I do hope it continues in the coming orientation as well. :)

I am surprised to have discovered a leader who has similar triats as Bala when it comes to their style of running the orientation. They can joke and it tickles your laughing bone. I have also observed some similar style in cheering and a few of the ice breaker games that I played before back at Bishan is the same.

Mmm... what does that shows?

Anyway.. I am looking forward to the coming 3 days official orientation with all schools of RP.

Tmr is the first day..

Bored Bored... I've been playing a new game called Ether Saga. I guess currently now I do not have the mood to play it yet... haha. Well, tomorrow's the day of Freshman Orientation Camp. I must say, it's rather near already. lol. =D Classroom allocation will be known in another 2 days' time. Ok, shall wait for it. Definitely on the first and second day, there will be many people going to the web to check and therefore "traffic jam" happens. xD
I'd suppose the dress code is rather casual, might be running around here and there.
I'd find a t-shirt and 3/4 bermudas or somehthing. yup.
Pretty early for a start of the day, 830am! and runs till 9pm.

It's been nearly a month for not updating. haha =x Generally, I am happy so far.
It's still early April and am still waiting for the coming Freshman Camp that will arrive in another week...
Pretty excited about coming Monday.. thanks to a dear friend.. got a chance to be in the audience crowd viewing various performances at Mediacorp itself. A new programme that will be broadcasting live~~ haha
My feet were hurt from wearing a newly bought pair of boots.. fortunately, had a very relieving massage from U-Squeeze Osim. It's really good. hahaha

Time for some updates. yeah. I have officially left the school, Bishan ite since 2 march 2009. Been hit with an opportunity to upgrade myself to enter a polytechnic ever since I received my results on the retake of O level Maths. Enrolment's just 2 days away. I can't wait to settle it ASAP and getting myself a new laptop. Speaking of laptop... let's see what the IT fair has to offer..

Today, I went with mum to Orchard Road since we spotted Robinsons advertisment in the papers.
I loved my new wallet... it has beautiful pictorial drawn by Jimmy Liao, a famous artiste from Taiwan. A really talented person I must say.
Some of his famous works are: Turn Left ;Turn Right Sound Of Colours （地下铁). First mentioned is acted by 金城武 and 梁咏琪, Second mentioned is acted by 梁朝伟，杨千華.
Perhaps the ladies should check it out manz, prices range from 80 to 100 dollars. There's a 15% discount as well. The wallet I have chosen is not too costly, priced $45. Moreover it's made of genuine leather and it's definitely 100% original.

I saw Guess wallets, sold at $35.90. To my surprise, I see bags designed by Paris Hilton! It's true.

The month of February is coming to an end. Time does fly pretty fast. Well, it has always been fast. I need to "pull up my socks" on my playing of piano exams pieces. I need to find the source of motivation to get me going when practicing. I'd feel lousy when I am not able to play to the best.

Exams are coming in about another week.. that calls for mugging!!

I changed the blog skin as I decided to find something new, :) since it's a new year. Well, I must say, this year is rather exciting. I have spent about a year's time at ITE Bishan and now I am leaving the school quite soon. I guess by the new semester, probably about 3 or 4 names will not be seen in the class list anymore..

It's a big change indeed. Retaking mathematics and achieving a pass has made a big difference.

It feels like going through a period of revolution at present.

Although I got admitted to Republic Poly's customer service and relationship management, at the least I am gonna pursue something that I am interested.

Some of my ex classmates might be shock or surprise.. if they were to see me around in the campus. :)

I met up with my secondary school friends. Been some time since i last met them. Haha. Well, we had lunch at Cineleisure, Shoduku. It's a Japanese restaurant that offers western cuisine, mainly pasta, burgers and ice-cream. I had curry pasta and apple vinegar drink. :) Then.. went to the cinema booth to buy tickets for twilight. :)

well. it's darn awesome! I really like it. Post symptoms from the movie, it happened to me and my other friend, images of Robert Pattinson, male lead of twilight. runs in our mind. Perhaps it must be his romantic gestures of him and Bella attract us.

then, went to Mango, I wanna buy JEANS! they are on sale! slim fit jeans! let's see who'll be free to go shopping. :)

went back to cck by bus. then, headed to mrt station platform cos going over to yew tee. I met Juliana, Fida and Azie. It's really such coincidence. Haha

now i know, Fida also likes Robert Pattinson.

He really charms the girls.

on friday, met up with Germaine ,Liwen, Weekiat to celebrate Lynn's birthday. :)

it was fun. had buffet at Sakae Sushi. :) then later on met up with SeowLi.

we went to the movies. It was a long queue. Most were either watching Twilight/ Yes Man.

Tickets were selling fast like hotcakes! =.= first time sitting at A row in a cinema.

should have bought the tickets earlier while waiting for Lynn's arrival.

well well. had fun anyway.

Today I went to my piano teacher's house for mini christmas party. It was fun and I received a present.

I opened it while waiting for the train at Dover station. It's a handbag, brown colour and it's made of velvet material. Pop by Lot 1 and went to Watson. I bought lucidol hairwax, sunsilk straight and sleek anti-frizz hair cream and nivea visage makeup remove wipes.

been busy with TPS project and BZC preparation for presentation. Recently visited Botanic Gardens.HAHA.For the past 13 years or so i have not been to Botanic Garden... and now in the 14th year I have returned. HaHa
It's memorable and am awed by the new elements in this beautiful garden of Singapore.
hmmmm....i had a haircut. It's pretty cool and stylish. A friend of mine feels reminded by GuiLunMei's hairdo in a recent movie or something..it's not Jay Chou's Secret movie..

I have been pretty busy of late. Thus explains me for not updating. haha.
Currently, there are 2 projects to do. Tourism and Marketing. The deadline for tourism is coming pretty soon in fact. As for Marketing, a project proposal needs to be done and shown by coming Friday, if i am not wrong about it. I sincerely am waiting for the progress of tourism to kick off soon once settled with the project proposal. To visit places of interest and culture in Singapore. =D
A group's capability and cooperation measurement lies in the quality of the project. Also, as an individual, not only just about doing well in exams/test but also one's capability as a team player.
It feels intense but a good way of getting engage in such assignment which will happen in the real working society.

Enough of that..
i have not gone shopping for quite sometime. It feels like ages.
waiting to work part-time during the holidays to earn an income. to get

have not been updating lately. I am becoming busier for I have assignments to do. tourism project on the attractions in Singapore and presentation on a product/service for business communication
Recently I had O level Maths and thus now I am waiting for results.
Saving up $ for extra expenses.
Waiting to go Taipei/Hongkong next year in March/April.
Yeah!
will be working part-time in December to earn some money for I want to get myself a pair of new spectacles. at the same time to gain experience as well anyway.
no news of piano lessons yet for my teacher has yet to reply to my text messages.
will be going down to Media-Corp to support my best friends, Lynn and Weekiat in their participation for Campus Superstar 2009.

quite alright this time.
i am falling for tourism...
and i realized something, perhaps we have always assumed we know Singapore well enough but in actual fact we don't know the details well. without knowing our country's background well and there's tendency of us being more eager to know other countries rather than Singapore's.
haha.
suddenly there's a feeling in me.. perhaps we should visit museums? for some ages i have not stepped into some new museums, such as Asian Civilization.

back from camp.

I was away for Bridge Leaders' camp. A 3D2N stay.
It's a camp filled with all sorts of emotions and activities.

Day 1: traveled to tampines in the early morning. met up with Germaine, Bala and Bavani to eat breakfast at Mac Donald's. I had a quick bite and then we all headed to tampines ite.
Had our groupings arranged and getting to know our instructors.
arrived at the camp. self intro, played a game, a reflection session. Not so much of things on day 1 in fact..
Day 2: final day of camp. experience on role peer with the theme of peer pressure. Germaine and I are Lynn's new found friends at first but then she got attracted to a group of "cool" friends.
then we carried out the teambuilding games.
I had fun playing group 4's game. I was blind-folded to play the game. I learnt to trust my peers' verbal instruction to complete the game. Also, I think I have good sense of direction. HaHa.
Campfire preparation, it started off a bit dense but gradually with suggestions here n there coming, ideas generated, finally something to show for the camp fire night.

Night Walk event, haha. I had thought it will be exciting.
Anyway. glad to know taufik, new found friend. haha
he's really comical, makes people smile

The meals..besides the normal meals : BreakFast+Lunch+Dinner.

Personal Reflection:
definitely there's areas for improvement.
to speak clearly by articulating my words. to take more initiative. i must also try to volunteer whenever possible. confidence is needed.
it's my first experience to be involved in a leadership association.
it's not easy being a leader.
a leader has responsibilities and definitely got to be clear of directions. knowing what to carry out and lead the juniors.
i am willing to face up. accept challenges.

Recently, just happened yesterday, Lynn and I went to a vocal training session. She's been wanting me to accompany her. alright lo.. HaHa.
In fact, through this vocal training, we've learn a lot. It's a good experience.
To know and learn the appropriate techniques in singing to improve.
Next vocal training session is on coming Sunday. I am looking forward to it. =D

Well, in a great need to practice my piano as well. Detailed work needs to be done on the piano.
also, to practice maths. =)

today went back to school for a cheer training session. well well, it's fun and awesome. haha!
i enjoy and learned quite a bit. =D
after that, had a discussion over what to watch and then went in to food junction for lunch.
i felt really hungry. haha
well, the time to movie is a little long, thus went to play some games with friends at the arcade.
games like basketball, mario car racing, time crisis. haha
then..
came back home at around 8.
tml got piano....
alright...
i will love it always.
haha~

Decide to re-create a new blog. Feel that there's a need to revamp it.
HaHa.
Looking very much forward to coming week.
First will be Tuesday, not just the 2 hrs of briefing session on BL camp issues.
Also a time to spend with fellow royal stars clique.
Next will be Thursday, after piano I will be meeting up with an old friend at a cafe.

I've got some new stuff added to my wardrobe. HaHa

A steel blue in color cardigan and black satin dress from COTTON ON
